Escondido is the debut restaurant from Chef Fernando Ruiz, three-time Food Network Champion (Beat Bobby Flay, Guy’s Grocery Games, Chopped)!
Escondido combines a fusion of Coastal and Northern Mexico regions. World-class ceviches and tacos are crafted from sushi-grade seafood, weaving in flavors from the Pacific Coast. Chicken Mole, Barbacoa, Al Pastor, and Carne Asada are sourced from Northern New Mexico ranches and the US Southwest.

Escondido now offers full-service catering for entertainment events, weddings, private parties, fundraising events, and more. We’ll coordinate everything from the food & drinks to the entertainment.
Chef Ruiz
Chef Fernando Ruiz is a king of Southwestern and Mexican cuisine, holding the distinction of being a three-time Food Network Champion. Ruiz won Guy’s Grocery Games, Chopped and most recently, beat the nearly unstoppable Bobby Flay.
